Malaria is one of the most serious public health diseases in Nigeria. With passion to be of the fight against malaria in our communities, SWAYA partnered with the National Malaria Elimination Control Programme (NMEP) to campaign for the elimination of the rate of malaria infection amongst the vulnerable groups such as women, youths and children in Nigeria. In the Niger Delta region, SWAYA has extended its campaign against malaria to various communities through community dialogue where participants are sensitized on the need to keep their surroundings clean and use insecticide treated nets always. Malaria campaigns have been carried out in communities in Asari Toru and Akuku Toru local government areas. Other places where SWAYA has also carried out campaign against malaria are Obio/Akpor and Eleme local government areas.
